Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which raises the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Equipment must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be stacked carefully in order to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be at the center to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the thrust can cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop abruptly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
