Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these models are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal choice for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machine. These models come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units carry out jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required before operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs requiring many man hours to be carried out in much less time. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling business and have greatly increased productivity.
