Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
The audible devices such as back-up alarms or motion alarms generate sound which has to be really loud in order to be heard above the noise which the forklift makes in the operating area.
The sound has to be readily discernible from other audible devices or sounds in the work setting. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could sometimes get disabled from both operators and workers as they could find them irritating. What's more, audible devices could also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other problems. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator could choose the performance need for the specific use. What's more, it allows a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating characteristics in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is deactivated, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
