Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular model is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, such as warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires which make maneuvering easy.
The operator of this kind of forklift generally stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This design enables for easy and fast maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire machine. The sit-down model usually has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered by an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered do not produce exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the preferred option for closed areas like for example retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor use since it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
