The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were unreachable by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and productivity.
