Jungheinrich LP Forklift
The lift truck is an essential piece of equipment in most companies which operate distribution centers, warehouses, storage handling and industrial facilities. This great equipment, the forklift is made of numerous components, such as the essential carriage, the power source, the engine and the wheels. Lift trucks normally have a range of attachments as well. The following are some of the most essential components of a forklift.
Lift Truck Engine - the forklift truck is designed with a power source at the rear of the equipment. Various types of forklift truck have different kinds of engine which require varying power sources. Like for instance, a lift truck with an internal combustion engine can have any of the following as its power source: CNG gas, LP gas, diesel or gasoline. Electric motor lift trucks receive their power from a battery or fuel cells.
Frame of The Truck - the base of the forklift truck and the most important of all the forklift parts is the truck frame. This forms the core of the machine. All other forklift parts are attached to the base, including the wheels, axles, mast overhead guard and counterweight. Hydraulic fluid and fuel tanks may be part of the frame assembly too.
Counterweight Forklift Parts - the counterweight is what allows the equipment to be balanced while carrying heavy cargo. This part is made of heavy cast iron and is attached to the backend of the lift truck. The counterbalance balances the truck frame in order to prevent it from tipping over when a load is being carried or lifted on the front. In an electric lift truck, the heavy lead-acid battery provides balance and could function as part of the counterweight.
The Cab Area - The cab is also known as the operator compartment. Forklifts will sometimes have closed cabs whilst others would be open to the air. There are many parts situated within the cab for operating the forks. The cab has such important parts like for instance the levers, switches, operator controls, steering wheel, pedals and seats. The dashboard has operator readouts.
